This talk will outline the current status of software engineering in the Trilinos project and discuss several different areas of issues that need to be addressed to allow the Trilinos project to continue to grow, improve quality, and maximize development productivity. Specific issues to be discussed are status of regulated backward compatibility, pre-checkin testing, Trilinos development toolset, partitioning of test suites, and other general needed areas of improvement.
